Video Pyrometer For High-Temperature Measurement of Metals
The CTvideo 1M and 2M models are ideal sensors for the temperature measurement of metals and ceramic materials at high temperatures where extremely precise aiming is required. A selection of optics allows measuring spot sizes to be as small as 0.5mm with the CF2 selection or alternatively, the SF optics with an optical resolution of up to 300:1 give small spot sizes even at large distances.
The temperature sensor offers the parallel use of video sighting and crosshair laser, allowing for easy alignment of the sensor and precise measuring spots under all viewing conditions. It provides manual focusing for measurement distances starting from 90 mm, with an optical resolution of up to 300:1.
With response times as fast as 1 ms, it is suitable for rapid temperature measurements. The sensor can operate in ambient temperatures of up to 70°C without requiring additional cooling, and the laser automatically switches off at 50°C for safety.
Featuring short measuring wavelengths of 1.0 μm or 1.6 μm, the sensor minimizes measurement errors on surfaces with low or unknown emission rates. The Compact Connect software facilitates quick on-site sensor setup, video alignment, and real-time process monitoring.
The CTvideo 1M and 2M infrared sensors have a wide measuring range of +250°C to +2200°C. The two-part sensor design gives greater flexibility than the CSvideo with a choice of output types and a range of interface cards such as Ethernet, Modbus, RS485 or relay alarms.

Areas of Application
The CTvideo Infrared Pyrometer has been developed for use in applications where laser aiming is not suitable. But rather than using a simple through the lens viewing port, we have incorporated a through the lens video camera which allows the sensor to be used in environments where space is at a premium.
The CTvideo 1 M and 2M video pyrometers offer accurate temperature measurements for metal surfaces, operating effectively at temperatures up to 2,200°C. These pyrometers are widely used in metal processing applications such as soldering, induction brazing, and rolling trains. Equipped with an integrated video module, they ensure reliable and precise measurement field marking, even in situations where the laser visor becomes invisible due to high object temperatures.
