Optris CTvideo 3M Infrared Temperature Sensor
The CTlaser video pyrometer has been developed for use in applications where laser aiming is not suitable, perhaps because the laser spots become invisible due to high levels of visible light due to very high-temperature metals or similar.
The IR temperature sensor is perfectly suited for low-temperature measurement of metals and composite materials starting from 50 °C. Parallel use of the video module and the laser sight allow for an easy and exact measuring field marking even if the measuring object is located in hard-to-access areas.
A selection of optics allows measuring spot sizes to be as small as 0.5mm with the CF2 selection. Alternatively, the SF optics with an optical resolution of up to 300:1 give small spot sizes even at large distances.
The non contact temperature sensor have a wide measuring temperature range of +50 to +1800°C. The two-part sensor design gives greater flexibility than the CSvideo with a choice of output types and a range of interface cards such as Ethernet, Modbus, RS485 or relay alarms.

Additional Information
CTlaser video pyrometer can be used with an optional USB interface and license-free Compact Connect software to configure the sensor by PC and record temperature measurements instead of traditional analogue or thermocouple outputs. The infrared temperature sensor and pyrometers from Optris can now also be easily operated from a smartphone using the IRmobile App for Android.
Calibration, as well as a full range of accessories, are available for the Optris infrared temperature sensors and industrial thermal imaging camera.
Areas of Application
The video thermometer Optris CTvideo 3M, like the related video pyrometers CTvideo 1M and 2M as well as the pyrometer CTlaser 1M / 2M, has been designed for measurement of metallic surfaces. This allows for easy temperature measurement during metal processing within the measurable temperature range of 50°C to 1,800°C.
Additionally, the innovative video module and the laser sight ensure a precise measuring spot adjustment, even in hard-to-access processes.
