Pyrometer for High Ambient Temperatures (250°C Ambient Temperature without Cooling)
The Optris CThot LT temperature sensor has been developed for the most extreme conditions in high-temperature areas and is acclaimed for its especially high temperature resistance. The infrared thermometer has an ambient temperature of up to 250 °C without additional cooling.
The IR pyrometer is especially suited for applications in driers, in tempering for metal and glass industries, in the processing of plastics and textiles, and in the semiconductor production. By request, the IR thermometers are available in an explosion-safe design with ATEX certificate.
The Optris CThot LT sensor has a miniature sensing head at just 29.5mm diameter x 55mm long and allows the sensor to be installed in applications where space is at a premium.
The separate electronics enclosure box provides a full range of outputs and inputs as standard including 0/4-20mA, 0-5, and 0-10 V, and type K or J thermocouples. It’s also possible to incorporate an interface card which provides simple integration into your existing process control equipment. Options include Ethernet, Profibus, RS485 and USB interface and the license-free Compact Connect software.

Optris CThot LT Additional Information & Software
Optris Optris CThot LT is supplied with the Compact Connect software. The licence-free software has been developed specifically for the extensive documentation and analysis of temperature measurement data of Optris thermometers.
All of the infrared pyrometers and thermal imagers from Optris can now also be operated easily from a smartphone using the IRmobile App for Android. Using the app, you are able to monitor and analyse your IR temperature measurement on a connected smartphone or tablet.
Calibration and a range of accessories for your Optris CThot LT are also available, such as a cooling jacket or interchangeable lenses.
Areas of Application
Due to its unique stainless steel measuring head, capable of resisting temperatures of up to 250°C, the infrared thermometer Optris CThot LT is ideal for the measurement of non-metallic surfaces in hot surroundings.
The pyrometer is suitable for use in driers and ovens, tempering facilities of metal and glass industries, plastics and textile processing, and semiconductor production.
